When I was looking for a small aquarium for my kitchen, I discovered the Mini Bow 2.5 gallon aquarium kit. It's the perfect size for the den, kitchen, dorm, or kid's room. Just one look at this little aquarium and I knew it was exactly what I needed. I purchased the kit with a dark blue aquarium, which is perfect for my blue male Betta splendens.

The Mini Bow 2.5 gallon aquarium kit includes a bow front acrylic aquarium, colorful base, UL listed incandescent hood {15 watt bulb included}, Whisper Power Filter, sample food and water conditioner. All you need is gravel, plastic plants and fish. The kit includes easy to read instruction booklets for the aquarium and filter. It was quick and easy to set up.

The aquarium is available in dark blue, turquoise, purple and black. It is approx. 13" x 12" x 8", which is perfect for one or two small fish or one Betta splendens.

Since using this aquarium, the only problem I have is the size of the filter. It's just too big for the size of the tank. I moved the filter to the left side to make more swimming room for my betta. There isn't much room for plants or large ornaments, however, I added a skeleton ornament to the right side of the aquarium. My betta swims around the skeleton and sometimes swims under his leg. Sometimes, he just hovers near it.

Overall, the aquarium has held up very well. I've used the Mini Bow aquarium for almost two years and my betta loves it! I would recommend it to anyone who needs a small aquarium.
