Mini Globe Feeders

I go through bird feeders pretty quick, very few are made to be durable and last very long.A neighbor suggested I start using more mesh bird feeders, so I began looking around for some that fit in with my garden decor.

I came across the Farm Home Collection website in a catalog and noticed the brightly painted mesh globe feeders, which are different than any other feeders I have had or seen.A set of three mini globes come in red, yellow and blue and hang from a colored chain.

The feeders are really easy to hang and fill, you simply lift the lid of the globe.I liked that the mesh is a little smaller weave than other mesh feeders so I can put finer feed in it for finches without it all falling out.

The first day I hung my globes they were visited by several birds and overall the bird population seems to enjoy them.I like them because they add color to the trees now that they are bare in the winter and come spring and fall they will give the garden a festive look.The only thing I wish was different was that the feeders would be a little larger. I find I am filling them more often than I did with my old feeder.

Still, I like the way they look in my garden and the birds seem to enjoy them, plus they are a little harder for the squirells to get to than other feeders I have.Definitely going to order a couple more sets of globes to add to the garden.
