Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am trying the new Topsy Turvey Tomato Planter, as seen on TV, and I am using Moisture Control Potting Mix for the soil. This mix is great for supplying continuous food to your plants. I have the 8 quart bag (my second one).

I have used Miracle-Gro products before and have always had good luck with them. I don't have the greenest of thumbs, though I love to grow things, so I need all the help I can get. I trust Miracle-Gro and have been using it for years. This mix claims to grow plants twice as big as other soils. I'm eager to see what luck I will have with my tomatoes.

The Moisture Control mix contains coconut pith fibers and sphagnum peat moss, which absorbs 33% more water than other soils. This protects your plants from over and underwatering.

The 8 quart bag I purchased supplies enough soil for two 8" wide pots. It also supplies food for your plants for up to three months.

Since I have used Miracle-Gro products in the past and have had good luck with them, I am sure my tomato plants will do well with this mix. I will put on an update later in the season to let everyone know how my tomatoes are coming along.
