I had the Mirena IUD put in after my son was born.I've used everything,pills,patches,ring and the shot, so I figured I try it. It's fool proof! I can't forget it. It won't fall out(or feel like it -the ring)And it lasts up to five years! I went in an asked about it and my doc said "we can put it in now if you'd like" and one heck of a cramp later I had a five year birthcontrol plan! And if I decide to have more kids within the next five years I just go in and they can remove it.No more monthly visits from aunt flow now, she's gone for the most part. No more horrible mood swings either.The hormones in the IUD are so light I don't have the regular moodieness I aquire from most birth control. I highly recomend trying the Mirna IUD if you are looking for trustworthy long or short term birth control.
