Miss Nelson Is Missing Book For Kids! By ferret on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Miss Nelson Is Missing is one of my favorite childhood books. It's funny, it's scary, and no one is likely to ever forget it. Miss Nelson Is Missing was written by Harry Allard and illustrated by James Marshall.

Miss Nelson is a nice teacher with a not so nice class. The kids take advantage of Miss Nelson's sweet nature and do not listen to her instructions. Suddenly Miss Nelson disappears! A detective is hired to find her. In the meantime a substitute teacher shows up by the name is Miss Viola Swamp. She looks as bad as she sounds. The children in Miss Nelson's class are frightened.

This book is cool because the reader will wonder what happened to Miss Nelson. I like that the author creates a little mystery and then terrifies the class with this new witchy teacher. This book has a neat way of showing children that they need to appreciate the teacher they have OR ELSE!

No one should go through childhood without reading the Miss Nelson books. I highly recommend them.
