Mlb 2008 The Show By Tanner Rose on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

MLB 2008 The Show was a huge disappointment. It had no improvements made to it and was almost a carbon copy of MLB 2007 The Show, unless of course you have a PS3 in which case it has improved graphics. My ratings of it individually, however, display how great of a game it is if it's your first time with it. The graphics are stunning, there are many different game modes with tons of customizability, and its replay value is outstanding. You can start your own franchise, your own career, or just play an exhibition game. The franchise mode has you running all types of things, including handling promotion nights, budget, advertising space, drafts, ticket and food sales, trades, and so much more. There's even a farm system you have to run, along with hiring managers and coaches. The career mode allows you to play as your player and your's only. You advance through the far system to eventually be a major leaguer. You get to manage your contracts and salary, but unfortunately, you can't manage your player's activities after games and during the off-season. Exhibition games are just normal games played between two human players or you can just play against the computer.

MLB 2008 The show is an extraordinary game, unless you owned MLB 2007 The Show, in which case, don't waste your money.
