With all of the dog food scares that have happened this year, my husband and I wanted to find a reliable, healthy food for our dog. After a lot of research, we finally discovered Solid Gold, the brand, and were immediately impressed by the philosophy this company abides by. The standards to which they hold their food is higher than many human-grade products. They do not use any uneccessary fillers such as wheat, or corn, which were the source of a lot of the contamination problems with the pet food. Those fillers are also nutrionally poor, and just a source of calories without value. Solid Gold uses barley, which is a filler with nutritional value instead. They use actual beef rather than beef meal, or some other meat filler. Prior to the switch our dog had constant allergy problems. Those have completely cleared up, and his excrement is now always solid. He is full of energy and his coat is beautiful. The difference with him on this food is incredible. I highly recommend it.
