It took a long time before I and hubby were able to find a piece of furniture that will fill up our empty lounge/dining area. We needed a furniture that will be put against the huge white wall in our unit. Since we have limited space, we were looking for a shelf that will have lots of storage and at the same time will look good with other furnitures we already have.

My husband wanted a wooden furniture since our dining and coffee tables are wooden. We have a wooden floor as well which he thought would be a good match. I really didn't like his idea because I was thinking that our unit will look old fashioned with the furniture he had in mind. Actually we had a look at several shops where he saw some pieces that suited his taste. He was just waiting for me to agree with him and we would have bought one of those.

The last furniture display shop that we went in was Beyond Furniture where this beautiful glossy bookshelf was displayed. My husband like it really and asked me if I wanted the last wooden furniture that we saw or this one. I told him straightaway that this is the one I like. Finally, we agreed and we bought it.

The piece which was in display comes in 4 columns which is just the ideal size for our unit. But buyers have the choice to expand its size by buying additional panels. The doors in the middle part are sliding and we have the choice to put them in the middle or one on each side (as shown on the photos). I love how this piece of furniture blends with our ivory wall and suits the modern look of our unit. This piece comes in white and black glossy color and we preferred the black/dark. The eight drawers at the bottom part were really good for storing CDs, DVDs, video camera, digital camera, chargers, winter lounge blankets etc.

This was delivered in pieces and was assembled by the guys from Beyond Furniture. The materials were made of aluminium, laminated high quality plastic and wooden board for the drawers.
