Modern Curriculum Press Mathmematics By Alicia Bodine on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Mathematics by Modern Curriculum Press is an overall decent math book. It covers all of the topics a 3rd grader needs to know and covers them so that a child can master each concept before moving on to the next one.

What I like is that on the back of each test is a cumulative review. It reviews everything your child has learned in Math up to that test. It gives the child a chance to stay fresh.

The only thing I don't like about this book is it lacks fun. I had a great book that involved a beaver going on adventures that my daughter responded well to. It used a story but taught all the Math concepts. This book is all business and there is no story line to it at all.

If you don't mind the lack of fun and are looking for a straight-forward, no fluff Math book than this is the one for you.
