Modest Mouse - We Were Dead... CD

Modest Mouse's "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank" is their 5th and latest studio album. Considered an indie band, this is the band's 2nd CD released on a major label. It is the first CD with "The Smiths" former guitarist, Johnny Marr, as a member of the band. Featuring 14 tracks, We Were Dead... is a great CD of similiar quality compared to the band's previous efforts. Although I felt "Good News.." was a slight depature from Modest Mouse's sound, this CD sounds like their earlier work. Some of my favorite songs on the CD include the single, "Dashboard," along with "Fire It Up," "We've Got Everything," and "Spitting Venom," but truthfully, almost all of the songs are amazing. Johnny Marr's guitar work really sticks out and you can tell he did alot of work with the band when recording this CD. Overall I'd highly recommend this CD to any Indie or Modest Mouse fan.
