Money Machine Change Counter By xshellyx on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Each of my two children, ages 3 and 6, recieved one of these change counters for Christmas. I loved the idea of them being able to see how much money they were saving. These banks both worked great once batteries were installed and the kids immediately started adding money. My 3 year old had a bit of trouble getting the quarters in as you have to push a lot harder on the bigger coins. After filling my son's jar, we took it to the bank only to find out that we were off. The jar read 57.xx and the bank's counter was 54.xx. It could be because we were feeding in his change way too fast or because it sometimes has trouble distinguishing between pennies and dimes due to their closeness in size. The display has been clear and in great working order and the physical condition of the banks were great also. The size of the bank is just about right. If it were any larger it would be too heavy for the kids to carry around when it was full. The only downfall is the accuracy, but it is close enough to give my kids a good estimate on how much money they have.
