Monopoly Junior By JenniferB on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Monopoly Junior is fun to play with your kids. It is basically a kid friendly version of the original Monopoly game. It is for 2 to 4 players and best for ages 5 to 8 although we played this with our son when he was four and beginning to count and add numbers. Each player moves a car around an amusement park trying to set up as many ticket booths as possible. When you land on an amusment park attraction, you must pay the ticket booth owner! The money denominations are $1, $2, $3, $4, and $5 bills and therefore easy for children to manage. My son loves to be the banker and this reinforces several math skills he is learning. The game is over when a player runs out of money and the winner is the player with the most money. You will have fun playing Monopoly Junior with your kids especially if you are a Monopoly lover like me.

I think this is a great way to get kids involved in counting and math skills. Sounds like a reasonably fun game for adults to play with kids. Thanks!

My son had this when he was younger. We all enjoyed playing it. He started over growing it when he was around 6 years old though, but like your child started playing it when he was 4.
