Montreal, a great destination!

I recently vacationed in Montreal for one of my friend's Birthdays. I had never been to Canada before so I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into but I have to say it both exceeded my expectations and quite possibly went overboard! Montreal is nothing like Boston where I'm from, even though it is only a few hours apart. Montreal is a party city.

We went last winter and there was snow on the ground and it was a beautiful sight and everyone was out and about. I couldnt believe how different the culture and people were. Many only spoke french! I was also surprised by the exchange rate which made everything in canada appear to be very expensive. I had unfortunately believed that things would be cheaper, but I was very wrong.

Montreal is fun if you are a college student and want to be out all hours of the night partying. There was also excellent european style shopping.
