Motrin 800mg Works
By Debbie831 onWhen I get a headache, its usually a pretty bad one and can take all day and night to get rid of. I finally went ot my doctor to see if there was anything I could take that would help. I had tried Tylenol, Advid, etc and none of them worked.
I am not a fan of taking any kind of pills but the headaches were really bad...but I didn't want anything that made me drowsy or feeling funny because I wanted to be able to take it during the day at work. My doctor gave me a prescription for Motrin 800mg. I have toadmit when I first got it filled I wasn't very happy. They are huge pills, but I thought I would give it a try.
I can't explain the relief Motrin 800mg give me and it works in about 5-10 minutes. It has become a life saver for me. Fortunately I don't get many but when I get them they are pretty bad and come on pretty fast. After taking just one pill, the headache is gone.
Just a note, my headaches are not considered migranes, they are just headaches. I do recommend you talking to your doctor about Motrin 800mg if you suffer from headaches. Also, it works completely different then the over the counter Motrin. Taking 4 200mg will not work the same.
I am not allowed to be on any pain pill prodcuts. When I have a problem, I am allowed to use a very low dosage of tylenol or vicodine. Ibuprofen is really bad for my kidneys. I only have 50 percent so I have to baby them.

I live on Motrin for my carpal tunnel. I perfer the high mg, so I can take less pills.
The prescription Motrin works wonders on joint pains and muscle soreness associatede with SLE and RA. I love the stuff. So much it ate holes through my stomach lining. Thankfully you don't need it that often. Those who do, should be aware that Motrin and other NSAID's can cause serious gastric erosion. Always take this with milk, yogurt or crackers.
