This is another addition to our ongoing collection of foam dart weapons the Tommy 20 Foam Dart Gun is in fact a nice toy for the price but as with a lot of the other foam dart guns it just doesn't deliver. When I say it doesn't deliver I mean this gun looks like an old fashioned Tommy Gun, and that is where all similarity ends to any automatic weapon. Our whole purpose of purchasing this gun was because my son and the packaging leads you to believe that it is an automatic gun. In my opinion an automatic weapon discharges for as long as you hold down the trigger, or until out of ammo. The Tommy 20 Foam Dart Gun does not, it does have a neat rotating magazine to hold the foam darts. All in all this is a fairly nice toy gun but Had I known what I know now I would not have bought it. I would however recommend it still as a very good toy product, just not what we had in mind.
