Mr. Clean Extra Power gets a rare low rating from me. From its shocking pink and purple striped bottle to its atrocious scent, this product deserves a total thumbs down. Surprising from a brand that normally produces fine cleaning products for the home. Based on my previous experiences with this brand, I bought Extra Power for some really tough cleaning chores: dirty stove tops and soap buildup on shower doors. According to the label, Mr. Clean Extra Power is supposed to be effective for removing limescale, rust, soap scum and grease.

I tried it first on my showers, but the scent was so awful I quickly rinsed it off. It smells like rotting lemon with a metallic undertone. Thinking it might just be my family's reaction, I asked visitors to smell it and they had the exact same reaction. In addition to this, it doesn't perform as promised. Sprayed on some heavily soiled burners, it only removed about 1/4 of the mess. It does perform fairly well on soap scum, but the lingering odor makes it not worth using.

There are much better more pleasant products to use in the marketplace. Don't waste your money or your time buying Mr. Clean Extra Power.

Ish! If the scent is not tolerable, I wouldn't use it either!
