This is the most recent coffee maker I decided to purchase. I was not wanting a fancy machine, just one to do the job. This is a 12 cup machine with a lift up large lid opening for filter drop in as well as water fill. The price is fairly standard for this type of appliance. There are of course more expensive brands that feature timers, etc... This is sometimes a bit tricky to keep filter paper straight in the basket, but I have only had this occur several times and do not feel it is a big negative. The price is for Wal-mart. It has a spring lid on coffee dispenser that allows you to remove the glass carafe early for coffee retrieval.The warranty is standard, usually one year.The cord is not unusually long, but this is a safety feature as well.I am totally happy with this appliance. I have a white one but I think it may come in black as well.
