Mr. Coffee 12 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker By JP_Whickson on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I received the Mr. Coffee as a Christmas gift. The only reason I know the price is because a week and a half after receiving and using the coffee pot I broke the carafe. The replacement for that cost $16, about the price of a cheap coffee pot.
The brew that the pot made is delicious and the timer is wonderful. There is nothing better than waking up in the morning to the smell of fresh brewed coffee. One morning our alarm clock failed but the coffee smell woke us both in time to maintain our normal schedule.
What I am most impressed with is actually the carafe. I normally have a problem with drips when I pour coffee. It is usually so bad that I keep a box of wipe ups next to the pot. This poured with ease and no dribbles. It was the highlight of the holiday season.
You can adjust the strength of coffee and also the heat of the warmer plate. There is a water filtration system that we haven't used yet, but is available for the pot. The pot also has a special cleaning cycle that makes keeping the Mr.Coffee a little easier.
I highly recommend this coffee maker. Just make certain that if you turn quickly with the carafe in hand that the area is free of obstruction.

I also have the Mr Coffee and broke the caraff.
Found a new caraff at target for $12. If this one breaks there is something really wrong.
I love all the little features you describe on this coffee maker, such as adjusting the temperature on the warming plate. It;s also tough to find a pot that doesn't dribble when it pours, so this really gets high points in my book. Sorry to hear you keep having to replace your carafe tho!
I've always had good luck with my Mr. Coffee pots.
