Mr. Coffee Grinder
By moonbeam973 onThis is the first coffee grinder I have ever owned, so I do not have anything to compare it to. I got it because I accidentally picked up a bag of coffee beans instead of grounds. (I was distracted and didn't read the label). Looking for something cheap, this was the best price I found on a small grinder, and Mr. Coffee is a brand I trust, so I bought it. This grinder has such features as a 4 - 12 cup capacity, a safety switch, and a deep transfer lid "for easy transferring." You can't put much in it at once, otherwise you wind up with some beans that don't get ground up at all. So, the beans have to be ground up in small amounts at a time. I don't like that this has to be cleaned out after every use, but it cannot be submerged in water. It's a pain trying to wipe the grounds out of this thing. And, it's messy. Transferring the coffee is messy, the grounds get all over the place. For the most part, I will definitely stick to buying coffee that is already ground up, but this is nice to have around. It also grinds up spices, but since it can't be submerged in water, I would worry that the spices would ruin the flavor of the coffee.

If you don't use it for coffee, you can use it for onion, garlic, cilantro, and other small veggies that may need to be ground. I am looking for a small chopper myself. Let me know if it works!
