This is one of the best medications they sell over the counter. I first learned of this product when my mother was in ICU a few years back, she had went into respiratory failure. After being life flighted to a top hospital in Nashville, Tennessee part of her treatment was to take 2 two Mucinex DM's twice a day. After being hospitalized for over two weeks she was sent home with orders to continue to take the Mucinex. Since then we have started using the Mucinex for ourselves and our kids. There are several different formulas to chose from including the Mini- Melts for children. This is one of the most effective over the counter medicines I have ever used. It loosens up the mucus and phlegm allowing you to get it up and out of your lungs. I strongly urge everyone to pick some up to keep on hand in your medicine cabinets. Be sure and drink plenty of clear fluids to help the medicine work.
