Mucinex Mini-Melts for Kids

I gave my daughter this medicine this morning after she was complaining of really bad allergies.The flavor I have is "Orange Creme" and she said it was a really good flavor.To her, the flavor is a lot more pleasant than most orange flavors in kids medicine, as they can taste artificial.When your child takes this medicine, tell them not to chew the melts.If they do chew it, it can cause the medicine to distribute an unpleasant flavor.

My daughter had no side effects while swallowing the medicine.

The size is pretty good; the medicine comes in a single use package.It is to be torn and the amount that comes out is small, but in my daughter's mouth it felt like a lot because of so many granules.The packaging features an orange cascading ribbon of granules and a green monster.The monster doesn't look mean or scary; it looks pleasant and fun to me.

The medicine isn't very effective, it suppresses coughs, but it doesn't loosen phlegm or mucus very much.The only point in giving this medicine to your children is if they like orange flavor and to suppress coughs.

I like the Mucinex brand, but this product just didn't cut the mustard for my child.While it is a good cough suppressant, it isn't a very good expectorant.I wouldn't recommend this to a friend because this product did a poor job.
