I am a fan of the first two Mummy Movies. While Brendan Frasier is not the best actor, there is something about him that I like. I rented this movie at my local redbox for $1.09 for one night. I am very glad I did not go out and buy this movie. I could not help but wonder while watching this movie- Did anyone actually read the script? Did they need the money that bad? There is nothing new about this movie, except the movie now centers around the son, Alex instead of the dad, Rick. The mother/wife of the first two movies is a different actress. Honestly I was not as disappointed about that as I thought I would be.

Storyline: Alex is the son of Rick and Evy. Rick and Evy have quite a reputation as mummy destroyers. Alex following in his parents footsteps unearths the mummy of an Emporer who was cursed by a witch. Bring on the mummies.

Opinion: What really bothered me most was the casting of Alex. He is suppose to be college aged but looked just a little younger than his dad played by Brendan Frasier. That really made the movie even more unbelievable. The storyline is a combination of things already featured in the first two movies. They writing was not very original. The movie also lacked in the witty dumb humor that was featured in the first two movies. I say rent but do not waste your money buying.
