Muralo Superfinish Eggshell Paint By ValerieDavid on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I love Muralo paints. They have a nice, thick consistency that spreads on smooth and dries to a gorgeous finish. Muralo is a great choice when you want to paint dramatic colors. It blends well, so you're much less likely to have any visible roller marks like you do with other paints.

Muralo eggshell latex is a flatter paint with just a hint of sheen. The eggshell finish allows for better cleaning than a flat paint would. We have this paint in a couple hallways and the entryway. It holds up well to all the traffic. A damp cloth with a little bit of soap or Fantastic cleaner will get out any fingerprints or smudges. The paint is durable, but be wary of rubbing too hard or using the Magic Eraser. Too much rubbing can take off the first layer of paint, leaving you with a faded spot. This is more of a danger if you paint with a deeper color.

For scuffs or scrapes that can't be cleaned away, it's easy enough to touch up with Muralo. Use a small amount of paint and work with a mostly dry roller. Lightly cover the scuffs and blend into the area around it. Let dry and your touchup will disappear right into the overall finish.

The paint is pricey, and probably not necessary if you're doing a closet or laundry room. For dramatic statements in your main floor rooms, though, I highly recommend spending the extra money for this excellent paint.
