Museum Of The Southwest Nice Experience By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If you are ever in the Midland, Texas area you must visit the Museum of the Southwest. This museum has different exhibits year round, but the best time to visit is at Christmastime. For example, this year they are having a porcelain doll exhibit, a gingerbread house exhibit (I saw this last year and loved it), Santa Claus visits, luncheons and afternoon teas (for a price, and you must make reservations for this) and a children's museum chock full of things that kids will love. There is also a model railroad, and special exhibits of holiday collectibles, plus displays of beautifully decorated Christmas Trees. You must bring your camera to get some great pictures.

The Museum of the Southwest is located at 1705 W. Missouri Avenue in Midland, Texas. Christmastime is funtime here. If you are ever in the Midland, Texas area, especially around the holidays, try to pay a visit to this museum. I think you would definitely enjoy it. I don't think there is a charge for the museum itself (at least there wasn't last year), but they do appreciate donations.
