My Antique Mug: Thanks Mom...
By edev5 onThis mug I got from my mom. I think its been in my moms house since she was little. So its about forty to fifty years of age and I think it's China-made. Its kind of funny actually, that the old stuffs tend to be stronger than the modern or newer ones in terms of their material quality. My mom also has some other antiques that still stand there for almost a decade (I think she got the antique stuffs from her grandparents). And its good to see these stuffs from the oldies. The mug was handed to me when we got married, and its been a pleasure receiving this valuable gift. The material looks so solid and yeah, its a fine ceramic mug. We use this mug on a daily basis, and although its much older than me, its still solid and strong. Its also resistant to hot water, and it doesnt, like stained or spotted inside although we pour hot water into it. The design is hand-painted flower, a simple yet looks attractive, an inheritance from old times when everything was made simple. The color is also simple; its a combination of light color. Hmm this is surely the item which I take so much care.
