The MyBook essential edition is nice because of its exteremely large capacity, and somewhat ease of portability. It comes inclosed in a elegant black case with small blue light on the front to allow the user to tell when its turned on, and when it is writing information to the drive.

The drive is 5400rpm, so it is not lightning quick, but because it is so large such things are to be expected. If the user is looking to simply sore pictures, videos, and other bits of information on the drive, then this is the perfect one to do it with.

It also makes a great drive to simply image your entire computer's internal harddrive, and keep simply as a back up incase of failure. This works well because it is larger than any internal drive, and can hold all the information quite easily.
