My Car - My Car review

This is a simple book of few words, but it is the book that got my son interested in reading when he was six months old.

"My Car", by Byron Barton, is a board book with simplified colorful illustrations.On the front, Sam, the main character, sits in his car.My son pointed to that and said, "Dada!" when he was six months old.It reminds him of how my husband looks when he sits in his little car to go to work every day.Since then, he has asked to read this one over and over again.

The text is simple; the illustrations are colorful.Unfortunately, this book was not sturdy enough to make it through two children.We now have it bound up with lots of tape, but I think we will soon need to replace it.

But as a testament to how much they have enjoyed it, they still bring the pieces to me and ask to read it.This book is a must for getting any young child interested in reading.
