My Cozy Multi-Colored Quilt Comforter
By Sparkle333 onMy husband and I just took a wonderful Christmas vacation trip to the ocean, and while we were there, the weather turned very cold. One of my favorite activities in the evening, was to light scented candles, and sit in a big, overstuffed chair to read magazines and books. I felt like I was in heaven, except that I kept having to get up and turn the thermostat up, over and over.
So one evening, while on a shopping trip to Old Time Pottery, I decided to see if there were any comforters available. Much to my surprise and delight, I found a beautiful burgundy, rose, and rust colored quilt comforter. It was supposed to come with the quilt, and one sham. But mine had the quilt, and 3 shams. Merry Christmas, huh?
I was so happy when I got the quilt comforter out, to find that it was extremely soft, fluffy, and most ofall, warm. Every evening, I enjoyed arranging my pillow behind my back, picking out a good magazine or book, and snuggling up with my cozy comforter. It was a lot nicer than my previous smaller throws had been, and provided a lot more warmth!
My husband even mentioned how pretty it was.The twin size was perfect for me--and long enough to even have my feet covered. The material was so soft feeling--the face is 100% polyester, and the backing is90% polyester and 10% cotton. Though it felt very silky, it is completely machine washable in cold water, and it can be tumble dried.
We are planning to go back to this beach house often, so I plan to keep this quilted comforter just for our trips there. It is part of what made my stay so enjoyable. It's funny how such a small thing can make a big difference.
