My Dish Network Dvr Remote By IceQueen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When I got Dish Network, the first thing I made sure I had was a DVR. TiVos are pretty expensive and the Dish DVR service is perfect. It doesn't have all the fancy internet features as TiVo but it works for me. Anyways, back to the remote. Its pretty simple and self explanatory. I've had the remote for a little over 18 months and you still read most of it. I use it everyday, so usage is pretty heavy. As far the physical looks go the only chipped part is the edge. I was a little disappointed about battery life, because it can be a battery eater. I noticed that a large part of that has to do with the weather. The hotter months the battery dies much faster then in the colder months. That is a good thing to know when it comes to storage, especially long term. The remote lets me fast forward, skip sections, play, pause, and record TV. All of the DVR type buttons are grouped together for an organized layout and pretty much every button is labeled with its function. Anyone can use it.

We have Dish and were thinking about getting a DVR. Nice to know the remote will hold up over time.
