My Fascination with Antique Postcards

I have a new fascination as of late for antique postcards.I am always on the lookout for items that have something to do with my birthplace, Holland.In my searches on Ebay I found these charming postcards of dutch children that date back to 1910.I couldn't believe someone would have these in such good condition and be almost 100 years old.
Check out the scans from the back of the first two postcards, they aredated 1910 and used a one cent stamp (who wouldn't like to go back to that!).I love the history of these cards and reading the messages on the back.I have also found some that are in mint condition and have never been sent through the mail.
I have found all of my antique postcards on Ebay for as little as $1.00 to a high of $5.00 so far.I love to display them in an antique frame or two and I can change them around as I like.Otherwise, I do keep them in acid free sleeves in a binder.
Finding antique postcards on Ebay is very simple, there are thousands to choose from so you could look for whatever interests you and own a little piece of history!
Alice these are truly charming. This is one I could truly get into in a big way. They are just adorable, and radiate European charm.
These would look fantastic in some old antique frames and put up around a bathroom or maybe a dining area. They are beautiful and I agree, it is amazing for them to be so old and in such great condition! :o)

And I thought I was the only one who collects postcards!!! I collect basically anything historical about my hometown and have huge sets of framed postcards in my living room. Your collection is just beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

I am a postcard collector as well. I have never come across someone else who shares this interest. I focus on modern day postcards and not necessarily antiques.
