My First Leap Pad, My First Lemon By 999frights on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My First Leap Pad is a piece of junk that was a complete waste of money. We have had ours for 3 years. My son was 3 when we bought this for him. Within one month of having the toy, it wouldn't work right. We changed the batteries and it didn't fix it. It would turn off in the middle of playing with it. It would not recognize the pen. It would read the wrong thing. Sometimes it would tell us there was no cartridge inserted when there was. We returned it and got another one. This one worked, but my son really did not play with it that much. It was too advanced for a 3 year old, in my opinion. Even as he got older, he wasn't that interested.

No my daughter is almost three and since we still have this toy and this one is still working, we are letting her play with it. She is a little more interested in this than my son was.

I have had other people tell me that they bought a My First Leap Pad that had problems like mine. So if you do buy this, keep your receipt and packaging.
