My Fourth Violin Experience By markeymark on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I have had three other violins in the past. When I got my newsest one, I was overall impressed with the sound. The sound was somewhat like a rich silky majestic sound machine. The bow was very smooth and when I first put my rosin on, the bow was easier to use the first time, rather than the third or fourth. When I played it for the very first time, I was to my surprise that the feel of the violin against my body and the rhtyhm of the bow and the musical notes made an extradorinary scene. My friend and I went to practice together later that night, and I had not told him that I bought a new one. I told him to close his eyes and he did, then I started playing a simple D major scale with his violin. He asked what I was doing and I said to wait. I then picked up mine and played a D major scale and he suddenly opened his eyes. I kept playing and he said he could tell a difference in my playing. I said that it was my new violin and he said he had to get one (my friend has been playing violin and viola for over 15 years) My friend also suggests that this brand of violin be played by both begginers and experts.
