My heritage - my inheritance - Collector plates

My mother has collected Bradford Exchange collector plates for as long as I can remember and at least since the early 1970's so she has quite the collection now.She has avidly collected many of these plates which have come with a price tag ranging from as little as $29 to as much as $89 and for her this is her way of "investing" in the future and bringing together something that she loves and which she feels will be a little part of her left behind in the future.

She's very proud of the many plates she has accumulated which includes several of "The King" which was included in the "Looking at a Legend Series" by artists Nate Giorgio "Heartbreak Hotel" andBruce Emmett "Gates of Graceland".She also has a large number of Norman Rockwell platesand I'm surprised to learn that many of the plates she has collected over the years have actually increased quite nicely in price.

She has never had any issues dealing with Bradford Exchange and as a long time collector I imagine that they know her quite well by now.Of all the plates my mother has collected I have a very special draw tothe Native American plates that she purchased a number of years ago because today these represent a part of my heritage that I am attempting to learn more about.Artist Lee Bogle portrayed Native Americans in such incredibly beautiful poses, you can see some of these plates here.My mother has "Waking Dream - Soul Mates" and "The Awakening" that I know of for certain.

I'm not certain if I would every purchase any plates at any time but I do know that if my mother chooses to pass the Native American plates to me, I will be extremely honored to have them.
