My Laptop Keeps Me Connected By Alice on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is my Gateway laptop. I can't believe I've had it for a year already and not written a review. This Gateway is by far one of the best purchases I've made. I did buy a newer and better laptop a few months back but only used it for a month before coming back to this one.

Specifications:

Model M-6332

2GB Ram

1.3MP Webcam

Intel Premium Dual-Core Mobile Processor

2048MB DDR2 667MHz Dual-Channel

160GB 5400RPM SATA

8x Multi-Format Dual Layer DVDRW with DVD-RAM and LabelFlash Technology

Windows Vista Operating System

15.4" LCD Monitor

Media Card Reader

I could go on and on but most of the stuff is Greek to me so I will just tell you why I like it.

**I'm not picky and by no means an expert on computer technology. This is my first laptop, it has worked great since the day it arrived and that's all that is important to me. It does everything I need of it for my current day to day use.

**The memory and speed are both sufficient for any applications that I run. I usually have multiple windows open going back and forth between them. I have lots of space for my scrapbooking programs, pictures for shared reviews, ebay, family albums, videos and a few games I play.

**The 15.4" screen size is perfect. The colors are spot on and the print is easy to read even if I am using it in bright sunlight or in a darkened room in the evening.

**I can burn pictures on a disc anytime I want to and don't have to ask my hubby to do it for me!

**I do not use the touchpad very often preferring a wireless mouse. The slots for this are conveniently located as is the spot for the main power cord. It has a lithium-ion battery with a use time of about 3 hours which is more than sufficient if I take my laptop anywhere other than my recliner at home.

**The keys are slightly raised and make for easy fast and easy typing. On my newer laptop the keys are all flat and even across which has been a challenge for me to get used to.

**I fell in love with the red color but do find that the finish shows fingerprints easily. These are easily removed and not a problem. The weight is just over 6 lbs. and the approximate size is 10-1/4"L x 14"W x 1.4"H.

The only negative thing I can say is that some of the silver color is coming off a little on a couple of keys. Not a major complaint but it must mean I use my laptop a lot if I can wear off a little paint. I tried to focus in on the letter "E" in my picture.

If you are into the latest and greatest technology, gadgets or computer there will be lots of better laptops out there but this Gateway gets my recommendation

Your keyboard is pristine in comparison to someone else's who shall remain nameless :) Glad this Gateway has been good to you, sounds like a decent laptop. Thanks for the info!

I just bought a new laptop myself and I wish that I would have seen this last week. Thanks for the review!
