My Non Stick Cookware By Wisdomfromabove on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I purchased this Hawkins flat cookware tawa from India. My initial idea was to use it entirely for making dosas, but today I use it to make not only dosas but parathas as well. I have been using it for over 2 years now and I use it regularly. It is heavy with little curve to sides but perfect to make crispy roasted thin dosas with less oil. I always wash this cookware with extreme care as it was a costly one. Perfect to make eggs for breakfast too. I use normal soap cleaner and uses vinegar and hot water to clean and remove the excessive oil at times.

Hawkins nonstick tawa does not have a ladle to turn over the dosas. I use my own ladle to turn over dosas. It has a stainless steel handle that provides the best grips while cooking. It does not get hot not do I have to tighten any screws like the Prestige cookware with screws.

A cookware that is easy to maintain and good for daily use. Yes it is heavy, but I guess that is what makes it a good quality one!
