My Nose,My Toes And Me! By Jessica Yamaguchi on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My Nose, My Toes and Me! by Frida Bing is an interactive lift the flap book. It is illustrated by Raechael O'Neill.
This is one of those board books with the really thick pages that makes it more durable for younger toddlers/babies. The book helps young children learn the basic body parts in a fun and interactive way! I think the illustration/art work is perfectly done. None of the pages are to busy, the characters are very easy to focus on for little guys! I think we all know how easy little ones are distracted! The print is BIG, BOLD, and easy to see.
The format is simple! The left page has the sentence/question..Example from book--
"What is behind the bright sunglasses?" ....the right page has the big picture/drawing of a baby/little one wearing huge sunglasses. The sunglasses are of course a fold down flap that reveals the babys eyes. MY EYES is also printed on the flap and visible once the flap is folded down. The entire book is about 8"pages/body parts..from eyes all the way to ME! at the very end.
I think it's adorable and think it's a great way to teach a little one body parts and also get them introduced and interested in books and reading!
Very simple, yet fun for little ones to be able to have an active roll in discovering the book.
My son is a little young for this yet although, I do try to "read" it to him...he is only 6 months old so , he prefers to drool on it and eat it! But occationally i can catch his attention and show him the pictures. I make a game out of it!

Sounds like a cute book. It's new to me
My bf and I were just speaking about Walden Books yesterday and how they have all these great board books and pop ups for the little ones.
This type of book is a super developmental aid for infants and toddlers. With big bright images and easy to look at text, you can start your child on his educational tour of discovery.
Looks like a great little board book which will appeal to young children.
What a sweet sounding book! I love "interactive" or pop up books for kids!
