My Pal AL...is an AL-ligator
By Jessica Yamaguchi onThis little guy is cute! He ia a soft plushie style alligator with a few different "extras" to grab a little ones attention.
Al is very bright and silly looking...and measures about 16 inches from nose to tail.My Pal Al has the basic alligator shape, a green head and tail... and a caterpillar shaped body. Each of the body "sections" is a different color (blue, green, yellow) there are small plastic ,lights that are rounded and textured shapes on each segment as well..the light color matches the color of the segmentit is on. Each segment also has the name of that color stitched in 3 languages (english, spanish, and french). There is a flat half dollar sized "button" under the fabric of each section that when pressed makes the colored light flash and talk..saying the color in each of the different languages. Al also rattles, the red section has crinkles sewn into the fabric and each of his "feet"are different shaped and colored teethers.
When you squeeze AL's mouth closedhe plays music and all of the lights colored lights alternate flashing. The music is just one tune, not a nursery rhyme or anything just it's own music.
For some reason when we first gave Alto my son it made him nervous!...I turned on the music and his bottom lip trembled and he cried!I would like to say that there is NOTHING scarey looking about AL..He's very friendly!
I think this is a great toy for babies! My son got over being scared very quickly and now he attacks it, he loves the lights...chews on any part he can get to his mouth, tries to pinch the lights and has been trying to figure out how to make it "go".
My Pal Al-is battery operated so you can't put him in the washer. This is the only thing I wish were differnt. He is surface clean only! I believe he takes 2-4 aa batteries...we haven't had to change batteries yet and the cover is screwed in and I don't have a screwdriver here with me so I can't look! sorry! We found AL at Walmart he was $14.99.

sounds like a lot of play value for the money!
Al sounds very cute and he does not look scary - I'm glad you son decided to let Al be his friend!
How CUTE! And i love the tri-lingual aspect shown in the pics! I *try* to remember to at least do spanish/english with my daughter, but it can be hard. Toys help to remind me ;)
AL is so cute, I haven't seen this around, I will have to find him, he is just soooo cute. thanks for sharing.
Very cute toy and an even cuter baby. The surface washable thing doesn't make sense when the toy will be in a baby's mouth all the time.
What a fun looking toy (and such a CUTE baby!).
Funny what can scare little kids. We had one that was terrified of Santa Claus. Glad the baby decided to like it, it's pretty cute.
Oh my, my son had something very similar to this when he was an infant, but to be honest this My Pal AL looks even better then what my son had. This looks like a cute toy and I will keep it in mind next time I have to go to a baby shower ;)
LOL, I just did a home visit today and the 14 month baby was carrying around one of these with her. It is SOOOO cute!
nice one
