My Purse is Just the Right Size

I'll admit it.I'm a real girl.Usually when I'm out for the day, particularily on a holiday, I carry a large bag full of everything I could possibly need.Make up, sunscreen, glasses, camera, medicine for headaches and stomachaches.....I've developed a reputation of being the person to ask if you need anything.Still, some days I don't feel like lugging a big bag around, and other times when I'm just out to do errands, a smaller purse is in order.

Say hello to my small purse.This little bag from Mudd is about 9 1/2 inches long and 5 1/2 inches high.The inside is one large pocket which is big enough for my (also big) wallet, and checkbook.The outside has two small pockets on the front, each 3 1/2 x 4", that are roomy enough for a cell phone or a small camera.I use one of them for a compact and lipstick.And of course, there is also a small pocket in the lining on the inside, for those discrete items.

I got mine in Sand, but they also come in Black, Khaki, or Baby Blue.

The purse itself is made out of a twill material, so being a light-coloured purse, I need to watch out for stains.All the buttons, hooks, and clasps are silver, which makes it really cute, in my opinion. =)Also, this obviously isn't built to last forever.I imagine it will wear out quicker than one made of micro material or leather.Still, for the price, I think it well worth it.This bag is serving me well and still looks great.Since I only use it occasionally, I suspect it still has a long life ahead of it.

Update On Oct 07, 2008: This week the stitching that holds the strap to the purse came undone.I was able to sew it back together, so it wasn't a big deal--just annoying--particularily because it happened while I was shopping and had to carry the bag around with me for the rest of the day instead of holding it by the strap or wearing it on my shoulder.So maybe double-check that the straps are properly secured if you go to buy one of these.
