While I was shopping for rat food and treats the other day, I decided that I wanted to get them something a little bit more for them to snuggle in or have fun with, so I started looking around the pet supply aisle at Target.

For around $4, I found a wonderful little set, that I thought I would give a shot. It's a "Large" (measures 9"x4") "chew" tube (it's colored cardboard, not unlike a toilet paper tube, but much wider, and a bit thicker). And, it comes with a good amount of fluffy soft bedding, and three natural bark chews (basically bits of natural wood that your small animals can chew on).

They had a smaller size for hamsters and mice, but I got the larger size for rats, guinea pigs and chinchillas. My rats aren't big chewers, so they don't chew up the tube like they're allowed to, and they ignored the bark chews. But, they love the fluffy bedding, and all four of them pile into the tube, using it to hide and sleep. They just ignore their plastic igloo house anymore.

It was cheap, and it gave my rats a comfy spot to play and sleep in, and it's by a company I trust with my pets. So, I am VERY happy!! :)
