My Tank Is Fight! By ExplosiveAmnesia on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

My Tank is Fight! is a book by Zack Parsons, of the humor Web site somethingawful.com. The book details a number of bizarre inventions developed during World War 2, from a flying tank to a gigantic aircraft carrier made from ice.

The book is mostly non-fiction, detailing the development (or lack thereof) of each individual invention. However, there are also fictional segments, which detail the hypothetical development of the inventions, as well as short narratives that show the inventions from the point of view of four distinct characters. These fictional segments are probably the highlight of the book, as they bring the inventions into a human context, although a healthy dose of humor is dispersed throughout the book. The book also includes glossy color illustrations of each individual invention.

This book is very funny and surprisingly informative, and is a great read for World War 2 buffs or Something Awful fans.
