After listening to my daughter beg for a My Twinn Doll for what seemed like ages, I finally gave in and ordered one for her.The idea is simple:you request a doll in the likeness of your child, right down to the eye color, skintone, face shape, and hairstyle.You can even request tiny details like freckles and beauty marks to match your child's.You fill out the form included in the catalog (you can also do this online, if you prefer), choose a name for the doll, and submit a photo or two of your child.Then the doll artisans go to work.
Although the site quotes a production time of about 3-4 weeks, I received my daughter's doll in just over 2 weeks.What a beautiful doll!It looks so much like my daughter that my husband is kind of freaked out by it!Best of all, my daughter is completely enthralled by this doll, especially because I have purchased a few matching outfits for her and her My Twinn (also available at the My Twinn site).She gets quite a hoot out of dressing the doll to match her own outfit.This doll is now my daughter's constant companion!

That doll seems pretty cool, but kind of creepy. I don't know though, I never played with dolls as a kid. I was more of a Jurassic Park toy and My Little Pony girl.
I've thought about getting one of these for my daugher. Maybe I'll have to now.

I will never ever buy from My Twinn again. My daughter's doll arrived two days before Christmas with the wrong color eyes. I indicated brown eyes and the doll had green eyes. Customer service is a huge joke. They expect me to pay to ship the doll back to be corrected and then to pay an additional $12 for them to ship the doll back to me!!!! They do not care at all that they have ruined my daughter's Christmas. All they care about is that they got their $150 and they are still looking for more. Search the internet for reviews and you will find many similar stories. I also ordered matching pajamas and other accessories and all are of very poor quality and not worth nearly what they are charging. As far as I am concerned they are nothing but scam artists. If I could do it over again I would go with American Girl. A much more reputable company.
