My Upstairs Vacuum By JennEm on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

No I am not a spoiled housewife. If I was, I wouldn't need two vacuums. I would have a housekeeper.

I do need two vacuums, one for upstairs and one for downstairs because I vacuum pretty much every day. I have four cats and a very large, sheddy-type dog. In short there is a lot of pet hair in my life.

For downstairs, the main living area of our small house, I have a Dyson. And I love it. I will one day write a review of its wonder and spectacular performance. However, Dysons are expensive and I really didn't need something that powerful or that much money for upstairs. I just needed something to do the job.

So I hopped on over to Target where I pretty much get everything under the sun, and they had this Eureka.

I've had this for a couple of months, and so far so good. It replaced a crappy, cheap Dirt Devil that fizzled out after about three uses.

The Eureka has the usual attachments, and one thing I really like about it is the retractable cord. One thing I don't like about it is that it's hard to get the canister open to empty it.

All in all, a decent 2nd vacuum for people like me who need one.
