My Venture Into Buying Stocks
By kateri27 onI have always wanted to buy stocks on-line, but I was just so darn confused as to how to do it.
I initially signed up at another on-line trading service, but after reading the fine print I called up and canceled my account.I looked into my options and found that not only would sharebuilder allow me to buy the stock that I wanted immediately, but I did not have to wait for the funds to clear because sharebuilder is owned by ING & I have an Electric Orange ING checking account.
I purchased the shares first thing Monday morning. It was simple and only cost a flat rate of $9.95.It was so easy and I got so excited that I purchased more stock later that day.
I am excited to be able to play around with the stock market on-line via sharebuilder.I don't admit to knowing very much about buying stocks which is kind of evident in the fact that the stock I selected is getting delisted from NASDAQ next week, but it was a fun experiment and an easy first step into investing.
Better luck next time for me....I hope!

I've been wary of trying this because of the potential to make my own huge financial mistakes, but it sounds like a lot of fun. So if I ever take the plunge, I'll check out this site. Thanks!
How exciting! I've always wanted to try my hand at trading stocks, but I'm just too conservative with my money. The 9.95 per trade is a pretty good price though. Glad you were able to take the plunge finally!
I used ShareBuilder several years ago when the fees were very low. When they started raising and the raised some more.
I have also toyed with the idea of buying stocks online. Maybe I should try out this site.
I think this is a good way to get your feet wet in trading stocks. I wouldn't want to invest alot of money doing it this way , but a little to learn how it works would be fun!
I'm intrigued by the whole online stock thing, but like you was (and still am) too nervous to do it. I could feel your exhilaration when you said you completed your transaction!
I've always been curious about the stocks but have never ventured into them. I will have to check out Sharebuilder and see what it's all about. Maybe once I get all my bills paid off I can look into playing around with a little money and seeing if I get lucky. Good luck!! :o)
My husband just informed me yesterday he was going to buy some stock shares...I'll have to tell him about this.
This sounds way too easy to do!! I just might have to check out this site-thank you!
