!!! - Myth Takes

!!! (also known (and pronounced) as Chk Chk Chk, or Chick Chick Chick) is music that is often classified in the genre of "dance punk" or "punk funk." They combine aspects from electronica, rock and funk all into one to create their fairly unique sound. Their overall electric sound leads them to be associated with bands like LCD Soundsystem, Junior Boys and Hot Chip. In their album, Myth Takes, the first track shows their high energy dance feel but it still all has a very rock background. If you've ever heard the band Hot Chip, !!! is alot like them except they have a more natural sound especially in their drums and guitars. Particularly, I enjoy the overall high energydance feel that the album has along with their lead singer's cuttting voice. It creats a unique combination out of many elements that dont always go well together. If you like electronica and you like rock, you'll probably like !!!.
