N. Vision Soft White Light Bulbs By Dadof2Disneyboys on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I had heard about these new type of light bulbs for the house. They are supposed to be so energy efficient. So on our last trip to the Home Depot my wife and I decided to get some and give them a try. We ended up getting the N. Vision soft white four-pack of sixty watt equivalent bulbs. They are actually fourteen watts bulbs, but are equivalent to a sixty watt bulb. They look different, so we knew we couldn't use them in ceiling fans or any lights where the actual bulb is visible. The appearance kind of reminds you of a florescent light bulb, except that they are coiled around instead of straight. The pakage says they will save you up to $184 in energy costs a year. They are guaranteed for 9 years, So it really does seem like a good deal. Until we put them in. The light they give off is very harsh and gives everything a yellow-ish appearance. We knew we couldn't live with that, so after one day we took them out.

Yes I noticed the odd color associated with these.
