Nags Head, North Carolina was once a little known beach town with out of date hotels and locals who lived for fishing. There was little or no traffic and no tourists in site for miels. Now, 20 years after my first visit, life is way different at Nags Head.
Nags Head has grown over the last 20 years into one hot tourist spot. Million dollar hoes line the beaches where once stoof cheap efficiency style hotels and motels. The increased traffic cause a sort of loss of innocence. While Nags Head, NC still has the best beaches i have ever visited, you have to share these beaches with hundreds and thousands of people per year.
Nags Head is a great summer or winter vacation destination. If you look beyond the glamour and glitz and visit a few of the local shops and piers, you may just catch a sight of what the town used to look like! Perfect!
