Nasty Smelly Baggies!! By Chenault on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

A few weeks ago I forgot to purchase resealable baggies and I couldn't stand the thought of running back into Wal-Mart to make a single purchase, so on my way home I stopped by Gary's, a local discount store in my city. I was really hoping to find Ziploc's, but the only brand in stock was Fresh Seal quart sized storage baggies. I grabbed a box and went home.

The following day I packed my lunch and used this brand for the first and last time. As I began to eat my turkey sandwich for lunch I noticed not only did it smell bad, but it also tasted like mildew. I immediately tossed my sandwich into the trash and moved onto my chips. Imagine how upset I was to repeat the process.

I think these baggies must have gotten wet, and the smell was a result. I took the baggies back to the store and was offered a replacement. The next box smelled the same. I was really disappointed by this, I hate to waste money as it is.

My husband said he would use the baggies for small hardware and other things that didn't involved food, so I gladly put the box in his toolshed for future uses.

In short, these were nasty and smelly food storage baggies that were an utter waste of money, not to mention a lunch I had been anticipating all day long. I will never take my chances again. I also learned a lesson to always give baggies a sniff before packing anything into them. I would not recommend the Fresh Seal brand to other shoppers, I certainly won't buy this brand again either!
