Natasha Tabori Fried The Christmas Almanac By eclecticbird on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is from the same author as the books in the Little Big Book line and it is wonderful. I've listed it as fiction but it has non fiction entries in it as well. The book contains just about everything you've ever wanted to know about Christmas. It has songs, poems, stories, traditions, recipes, places to shop, games, crafts, trivia and more. I found all of these to be delightful! At first I wasn't sure about the various website addresses and physical addresses being listed in the book for different merchants but eventually I decided I liked that too because those that are included are mostly high quality and some are unusual choices that I don't think I'd have found without the book.

I found a few of the stories a bit depressing, but that's what you get with Dickens :)

Overall I found this book to be a wonderful source of information and a great way to get into the Christmas spirit, especially the songs and history!
