National Lampoon's Vacation By Tifffany on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This film, made in 1983, tells the story of the Griswald's family cross country trip to Wally World Amusement Park. This was the first of the national lampoon's movies and stars Chevy Chase as the father, Beverly D'Angelo as the mother, and Anthony Michael Hall (The Breakfast Club, 16 Candles) as son Rusty. The movie incorporates the usual comedic instances that national lampoons movies are famous for, such as run ins with weird relatives and unexpected roadblocks along the way. Although the movie is 24 years old now, it is still quite enjoyable. It is written by John Hughes (Home Alone) and directed by Harold Ramis (Caddyshack), and this allstar stagg adds to the value of the great acting. It is a timeless classic that is family friendly and enjoyable for years to come.
