National Treasure By Tifffany on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

National Treasure tells the story of Benjamin Franklin Gates, played by Nicholas Cage, on a treasure quest. There has been knowledge passed down through his family of the whereabouts of a treasure, but noone has made any headway in finding it. When Cage finally solves the first clue, he is taken on a historical journey full of action, drama, and knowledge.

I love this movie! Even though I am not a history buff or fan of history, it is neat the way the scriptwriters and storywriters worked historical figures, places, and actions into a hunt to find an enourmous treasure. The characters are also well done. I think the script is witty and the characters do a good job delivering it. The scenes also feature several national monuments and can serve as a bit of an educator to both adults and children. I think this is a great family movie as it has tons of action sequences. There are some guns featured and such tho, so that might turn off some parents. National treasure is one of my favorite movies and I can't wait for the 2nd one to come out!
